Rescued Children Are Leaving Thank You Cards for Firefighters in Australia, and Their Sincerity Is Heartbreaking

Australia is burning, and thousands of people have had to flee their homes to escape the devastating fires. The normally dry and hot conditions in Australia are also worsened by climate change, and everyone can see the disastrous effects.

That’s where firefighters come to the rescue. Because of how much the fire has spread, firefighters often have to work 12-hour shifts or longer, and a lot of them are unpaid volunteers. They’re risking their lives and have become real heroes for all the people affected by the fires, and Australia’s children are no exception.

We at Bright Side would like to share with you some cards that these children made to thank the firefighters for their hard work. And we can only imagine how much these simple but sincere messages really mean to the brave and selfless firefighters.

Do you or does anyone you know work as a firefighter? Have you ever been in a situation where a firefighter helped you? If there’s any experience you’d like to share with us, we’d love to see your story in the comments!
