Liverpool vs Southampton predicted line-ups: Team news ahead of Premier League fixture today

Liverpool welcome Southampton to Anfield in the Premier League today.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds stretched their lead at the top of the table to 19 points with the win over West Ham on Wednesday evening.

Today they will hope to make that a collosal 22 points with second-placed Manchester City not in action until tomorrow.

They won’t have it all their own way against the Saints though who, in former Red Danny Ings, boast one of the most in-form players in the country.

Team news

Sadio Mane won’t be fit to face his former team this afternoon with the Senegalese international struggling with a muscle tear.

Divock Origi could come in for him after he recovered from injury while former Saint Adam Lallana could also feature.

For the visitors Stuart Armstrong won’t play with new signing Kyle Walker-Peters also set to miss out. Centre-back Jannik Vestergaard is fit, however.
