The estranged father spoke to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid as he called Meghan’s decision to step down “embarrassing” and “hurtful” to the Queen. Although Mr Markle admitted that his need to give interviews will “cause problems” with the Sussexes, however, he believes it is the only chance he will get to reconcile with Meghan: “If after this interview, if I don’t hear from somebody in 30 days, I’ll give 30 days and I’m going to try again because 30 days is enough time to get back to me.”
“I don’t want to sit in silence in my living room for the rest of my life, waiting for someone to call me back or get in touch with me.”
Then, in a direct address to Harry, he added: “Man up and fly down to see me.”
Twitter users took to the platform to express their views of the interview.
One user said: “For a bloke who is moaning about not seeing Meghan he doesn’t seem to be fussed about seeing his other kids or grandchildren. Wonder what the difference is… oh yeah money! #ThomasMarkle”
Thomas Markle promised he will be giving an interview every month until he is acknowledged by Meghan
The estranged father spoke to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
Another replied: “So we’re blackmailing people live on TV now, 30 days or he’ll give another interview – I bet Harry and Meghan are shaking, what a CREEP! “
A third raged: “Thomas Markle saying that what his daughter and Harry have decided to do is embarrassing. He should be embarrassed constantly trashing his own child.”
“The disrespect of this man is vile @GMB #ThomasMarkle stop giving him the airtime…he just wants money.”
Prince Harry is yet to meet Meghan’s father.
The live interview comes after Mr Markle filmed a documentary for Channel 5 where he fought back tears as he candidly discussed his envy at Prince Charles on his daughter’s wedding day.
It is usually considered the proudest day in a father’s life when he is able to walk his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day, however, Mr Markle, a former television lighting director, was unable to take that opportunity due to his ongoing health issues.
The Duke of Cornwall took his place at the last minute, smiling as he walked a radiant Meghan down the aisle to her knight in shining armour, Prince Harry.
Unfortunately, Mr Markle was only able to witness the Windsor proceedings on his “little television set” while he lay on the couch in his house.

“I’m in my senior years now, it’s time to look after Daddy,” said Mr Markle
Mr Markle confessed: “I couldn’t go back to my house because there were press there.
“I stayed at a little safe house and I watched the wedding on a little television set while lying on the couch.”
A reporter asked Thomas Markle directly if he believes there’s a possibility his famous daughter might not contact him again.
The 74-year-old ex-cameraman replied gravely: “I think it’s a great possibility, the last time they might see me is being lowered into the ground.”
Before he went on to claim that his famous daughter is in his debt and owes him money.
“I’m going to defend myself and I’m going to be paid for it. I don’t care,” he told the Channel 5 documentary.
“At this point, they owe me. The royals owe me. Harry owes me, Meghan owes me. What I’ve been through I should be rewarded for.”
He said Meghan had always told him she would “take care of me” when he got older.

He said that taking back his own narrative was in response to the media who had painted him a “dumb, fat slob.”
“I got approached by a guy who spoke to me and said, ‘I can change your image,’” he recalled, saying the man told him he could make him “look respectable.”
