Mysteriously Lord Lucan disappeared in 1974 after the murder of his children’s nanny at the family’s Belgravia home and has not been seen since. Neil Berriman’s mother Sandra Rivett was murdered by Richard John Bingham, the 7th Earl of Lucan, in November 1974.
Soon after Lord Lucan’s car was later recovered in East Sussex covered with blood. but he was nowhere to be seen.
Now Mr Berriman believes that Lucan is now a Buddhist monk who is living in suburban Australia.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Mr Berriman said: “I believe I have tracked down the man, Lord Lucan, who murdered my mother.”
Scotland Yard has also been informed of this new information that Mr Berriman hopes will catch the murderous aristocrat.
He reiterates: “I know he’s still alive”
Mr Berriman also believes that the man who could be Lucan is seriously ill and awaiting major surgery that has left him housebound.
Detectives believed that Lucan who was an abusive husband intended to murder his wife and killed the nanny by mistake.
There has been speculation for years about the whereabouts of Lucan including Australia, Ireland, South Africa, and New Zealand.
In 2017, Lady Lucan said that she believed Lord Lucan had jumped off a ferry shortly after the killing.
in 2016 a course issued a ‘presumption of death’ certificate so that the couple’s son, George Bingham, could become the 8th Earl of Lucan.
