Camilla Parker Bowles news: Duchess set for Strictly Come Dancing after major clue dropped | Royal | News

The Duchess of Cornwall is an avid fan of the popular BBC One dancing show. And following the conclusion of last year’s edition, punters are on the lookout for who they believe will be appearing on the next edition. Bookmaker Coral has claimed that there has been a flurry of bets on Camilla appearing.

The firm has now slashed odds on her competing for the Glitterball Trophy to 100-1.

John Hill, from Coral, said: “We know that Camilla is a huge Strictly fan and many punters feel as though the Duchess of Cornwall will appear on the show herself this year as a contestant.”

There is also a feeling among the public in the US that Meghan Markle or Prince Harry could cash in on their new “financially independent” status by appearing on Dancing with the Stars.

The odds for this happening is currently 10-1.

Mr Hill added: “Prince Harry and Meghan are sure to be in hot demand in 2020 and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if either of them took part in Dancing With The Stars.”

It comes after Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, revealed her “heartbreak” after witnessing an award-winning documentary that discussed the plight of youngsters in Syria.

The royal was with her husband Prince William at Sunday night’s BAFTA awards.

During the event, the heartfelt For Sama collected the gong for best documentary.

The Mirror reports that Waad said she was “speechless” after the royal encounter.

Upon accepting the award, Waad added: “We shouldn’t be here.

“In 2016, we were in a basement in a hospital when we heard the shelling of the bombs all around us.

“I thought I should bury my footage in case we didn’t make it – it needed to be saved.

“There are still bombings of 3.5million civilians.

“They should hear Britain will not let that happen again.”
