Polish border guards detained citizens from Azerbaijan and Ukraine and one Polish woman in connection with their participation in an organized criminal group that, through fictitious employment, organized the illegal residence in Poland of more than 500 illegal immigrants from other countries. Polish Radio Dla Ciebie reports.
According to border guards, the criminal group that facilitated the stay of foreigners in Poland included an Azerbaijani citizen, two Ukrainian citizens of Azerbaijani nationality and a Polish wife of one of them.
The group through fake companies organized fictitious employment of at least 537 foreigners, including from Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan. Criminal schemes allowed the group to earn money on obtaining residence permits and work permits for illegal immigrants in Poland.
According to the Nadvislanski Border Guard Department of Poland, thanks to the activities of the group, foreigners could illegally enter and remain in Poland and other EU countries.
