Not even two months in to 2020 and these could be the weirdest things we’ve seen so far.
Making their debut at New York Fashion Week, KFC have teamed up with Crocs and produced quite the shoe. And once you see it, you can’t unseen them.
If you thought the Crocs hype had left the building, you can think again as these bad boys will be available later in spring for the price of, drum(stick) roll please… $59.99 (about £46.23) and in unisex sizing. So far they seem to only be launching in the US but it’s only a matter of time before they come to the UK.
The Crocs come in two different styles – one platformed and one flat, and they are designed to look just like a gorgeous, golden bucket of chicken.
With the top half printed like the Original finger lickin’ Crispy Chicken and the platform having the striped famous bucket design.
Known to Croc fanatics as ‘Jibbitz’ – or added extras to you and I, there are even chicken scented clip ons just if you didn’t think they weren’t extra enough.
Terence Reilly, Cross Senior Vice President said: “As Crocs continues to create new, unexpected brand collaborations, we’re thrilled with this ‘bucket list’ partnership with Kentucky Fried Chicken that will bring fans an unbelievably fun and fashionable take on our classic clog.
“We’re honored to feature this fashion-forward style between two iconic American brands at one of New York’s biggest weeks in fashion that promises to surprise and delight consumers around the globe.”
In 2017 Balenciaga partnered with Crocs and they flew off the shelves, even priced at £645, but will have the same effect?
